CHARLES D. SHELTON, 85, of South Point, OH, died Friday,
June 27, 2008, in Jo-Lin Health Care. Funeral services will be 1
PM Monday, June 27, 2008, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home
with Minister Earl Slack officiating. Burial will follow in Highland
Memorial Gardens, South Point, with military graveside rites by
Proctorville VFW Post 6878. Charles was born March 20, 1923, in
Boyd Co., KY, a son of the late Pete and Eva Grubb Shelton. He
served in the Army, Navy, and retired from the Air Force after 30
years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his wife, Anna E. Nielson Shelton; four brothers; and one
sister. Charles is survived by one brother, Brady Shelton; and
numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11 AM to 1
PM Monday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
