Clement Smolenski 1926 - 2008

CLEMENT SMOLENSKI, 82, of Kenova, WV, died Saturday,
June 21, 2008, at his residence. Funeral services will be 1 PM
Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with
Rev. Craig A. Coster officiating. Burial will follow in Highland
Memorial Gardens, South Point. Clem was born April 17, 1926, in
Man, WV, a son of the late Julia and Marion Smolenski. He
attended Man High School, was a member of Man Baptist Church,
was a WWII US Navy veteran, worked in law enforcement as a
Constable for the Town of Man and Logan County, and retired as
a bus driver from the Continental Trailway Bus System after 26
years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his siblings, Eleanora Smolenski Mazon Griffith, Edward
Smolenski, Jenny Smolenski Christian, and Josephine Smolenski
Napier. He is survived by his sister, Irene Smolenski Mazon of
Man, WV; his twin brother, Harry Smolenksi of South Point, OH;
his caretaker and niece, Leandra “Cotton” Mazon (Edward) Smith
of Barboursville, WV; his daughters, Julia Ann Smolenski Kelsey
of Sanger, CA, Karen (Lee) Krauss of Bushnell, FL, Cheryl
Smolenski (Joe) Warner of Chesnee, SC, and Debbie Smolenski
(David) Kromer of Castalia, OH; his granddaughter, Shelby
Kromer; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Friends may
call from 11 AM to 1 PM Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral
Home, Chesapeake, OH. Contributions may be made in his
