FREDA MAE DICKERSON, 85, of South Point, OH, went to be
with the Lord, Friday, May 02, 2008, at Emogene Dolin Jones
Hospice House. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, May 6,
2008 at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Neel
officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH.
Freda was born March 1, 1923, in East Lynn, WV, a daughter of
the late Candy Edgar and Zora Smith Maynard. She was a retired
secretary for Ohio River Co., a member of Bride of Christ Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
husband, Bill Dickerson; one sister, Dorothy Maynard; and four
brothers, Vernis and Virgil Maynard, Edgar Maynard, Jr., and
Jarrett Benton Maynard. Freda is survived by one daughter,
Katrina Swann of South Point, OH; one son and daughter-in-law,
Dudley and Sallie Dickerson of Lavalette, WV; six grandchildren,
Mindy (Doug) Wilkes, Jacob (Jennifer) Dickerson, Caleb Matthew
Dickerson, Tracy (Shane) Collingsworth, Lindsey (Eddie) Neel, and
Candace Dickerson; four great grandchildren, Liam Wilkes,
Katheryn and Elijah Neel, and Tyler Collingsworth; and two
brothers, Dorsey “Bud” Maynard of Barboursville, WV, and John
Maynard of Melbourne, FL. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM
