


JACK JOHNSON, 50, born July 31, 1957, in Huntington, WV,
to the late Levine Baxter Johnson and the late Lula Mae
Johnson, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2008, in
Ontario, CA. In addition to his father and mother, his brother,
Eddie Dean Johnson, preceded him in death. Jack was a
member of the First Lutheran Church in Ontario, CA. Jack
was a creative entrepreneur as well as a self-proclaimed R&B
Historian and a well-rounded traveler. He grew up in
Burlington, OH, and never met a stranger. Jack leaves to
cherish his memory, his daughter, Crystal Anne Johnson; two
brothers, Freddie L. Johnson of Gastonia, NC, and Leroy
Johnson of Ridgeland, SC; four sisters, Linda R. Lee, Queen
“Sissy” Johnson, Sherry L. Johnson, and Caroline M. Wright
all of Huntington, WV. Jack also leaves to cherish his
memory, five aunts, Elizabeth Story, Elvema Brown, Maggie
Johnson, and Queenie Johnson all of Burlington, OH, and
Annie Gardner of Charleston, WV. Also, Jack leaves to
cherish three special cousins, Bernice Martin Lee, Danny
Martin, and Dinia Martin L. Linthicum all of Burlington, OH.
Jack also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
and many friends. Additionally, Jack leaves to cherish a very
special friend, Tonya Lynn Ramsey of WV. A graveside
service will be held 12 Noon, Monday, May 12, 2008, at
Burlington 37 Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Douglas C. Carter
officiating. The family will receive friends after 11:30 AM at
