In Loving Memory of
Richard D. Vance 1930 - 2008
RICHARD D. VANCE, 78, of South Point, OH, went home to be
with the Lord, Monday June 9, at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in
Huntington. Richard was born January 4, 1930 to the late Richard
and Rosa Goins Vance. In addition to his parents he was preceded
in death by a daughter Deborah Price; sisters Bertha and Bonnie
Vance; and brothers Otis, Woodrow, Bruce, and Albert Vance;
brothers-in law Ernie Mullins, and Lee Blankenship. Richard is
survived by his wife Vera of South Point; children Rick (Terri)
Mullins of Lesage WV, Jim (Mitzi) Vance of Lavalette, WV;
Grandchildren Javey (Randie) Vance, Amanda Mullins, Richard
Mullins, Jordan Vance, Jarrah Vance, Patrick Mullins, and
Brogan Burgess; nieces Virginia Faye (Baylus) Caudill, Betty Jo
Taylor, Bonita (Delmar) Sergent, all of Whitesburg, KY, Marcie
Cook of Mayking, KY, and Norma Jean Gibson of Michigan;
nephews R.D. Gibson, Jimmy Gibson and Dingus “Dollar” Gibson
all of Michigan, and Henry Allen (Sherry) Taylor of Hamilton, OH;
in-laws: Naomi  Mullins, of Chesapeake,  June Blankenship of
Etta, MS, Lois (Ray) Marsee of Lady Lake Fl,  Pauline (Uno)
Taylor of Atlanta, GA, Paul (Linda) Mullins of Chesapeake, and
Sandy Hylton  of  Jenkins, KY; and many extended family and
friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be
made to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 Sixth Ave, Huntington, WV
25701.  There will be a private family memorial service.  Schneider-
Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is assisting the family with
