SHARON K. SAUNDERS, 66, of Huntington, WV, was welcomed
back home by her Heavenly Father, Monday, November 30, 2009,
in Cabell Huntington Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral service
will be 12 Noon, Saturday, December 5, 2009, at First Baptist
Church of Burlington with Rev. Dr. Douglas C. Carter officiating.
Burial will follow in Burlington 37 Cemetery. She was born April
30, 1943, in Burlington, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph and
Gladys Toms Henderson. Sharon was educated in South Point
Public School System and was a homemaker. Sharon was baptized
at a young age and was a loving mother, grandmother, great
grandmother, and sister. Sharon dedicated her life to the service of
others, her family, her community, and her friends. She enjoyed
old blues, dancing, children, and cooking. She also enjoyed her life
to the fullest. Sharon leaves to cherish her loving memory, her
fiancé of 14 years, Earl Johnson; five daughters, Lynn, Annette,
Stephanie, Tonia, and Tasha; three sons, Thomas, Anthony, and
Devon; 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; two brothers,
Clarence Henderson and Joseph Allen Henderson; three
sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; and a host of other loving friends
and relatives. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at
First Baptist Church of Burlington, 7475 County Road 1.
